En esta nueva edición de los chats tóxicos en la industria musical, volvemos a poner sobre la mesa algo que muchos artistas independientes y músicos todavía subestiman: la importancia de entender cómo funciona el marketing musical en redes sociales, especialmente en Instagram. No se trata solo de subir contenido o mostrar lo que hacés, sino de construir una estrategia que te permita crecer de forma orgánica, conectar con tu público y convertir esa conexión en oportunidades reales.

Uno de los primeros pasos básicos es tener la cuenta pública. Parece obvio, pero muchos proyectos siguen funcionando con perfiles privados, lo que limita el alcance y la posibilidad de que nuevos oyentes descubran tu trabajo. En la industria musical actual, la visibilidad es clave. Si tu perfil está cerrado, estás dejando afuera a potenciales seguidores, productores, festivales y medios que podrían interesarse en tu propuesta. Tener la cuenta pública no significa perder privacidad, sino entender que tu perfil es tu carta de presentación profesional.

El segundo punto esencial es aprender a analizar estadísticas. Instagram ofrece herramientas muy útiles para entender qué tipo de contenido funciona mejor, cuándo tu audiencia está más activa y qué publicaciones generan más interacción. No se trata de obsesionarse con los números, sino de interpretarlos con criterio. Saber leer las métricas te permite ajustar tu estrategia, mejorar tus publicaciones y entender qué tipo de comunicación conecta más con tu público. En el marketing musical, los datos son aliados: te muestran qué funciona y qué no, y te ayudan a tomar decisiones más inteligentes.

Otro aspecto fundamental es usar todas las funcionalidades de la plataforma. Historias, reels, publicaciones, transmisiones en vivo, encuestas, stickers, música, colaboraciones: cada herramienta tiene un propósito y puede ayudarte a mostrar distintas facetas de tu proyecto. Los músicos y artistas independientes que aprovechan todas las funciones de Instagram logran mantener su perfil activo, variado y atractivo.
