Steve Marcus joined the Buddy Rich Big Band in 1975 and performed with Rich until the drummer’s death in 1987. He later continued performing Buddy Rich’s music with reorganized and tribute versions of the band.
This archival performance captures the energy of the Buddy Rich Big Band tradition while showcasing the musicians who helped carry that music forward.
