Years ago, we struggled to find momentum on social media, but the artists I worked with were hesitant to go in on short-form videos. After seeing all the success LaRussel had many years prior, I suggested to Lyrics Born we try something different to promote his music. He was hesitant at first, but was willing to experiment with a new acoustic album. This is the story of how we ended up going viral and Snoop Dogg reposting one of our video to his 87 million followers.
Over a span of a year with experimenting with short form performance videos, I grew Lyrics Born’s following from 20k to 200k+ on IG and 1.5k to 58k+ on TikTok. The funny thing we had our most viral videos take off almost 6 months after Snoop.
