If nobody knows who you are yet, the best way to get your music heard is to become undeniable: either a category of one with no competition, or so good that it doesn’t matter who else is out there. In this video, I break down five things artists and musicians can build to get there: a clear artist identity, a consistent release schedule, a world around your work, social proof, and ads that amplify what’s already working.
You’ll learn how to define your identity so people can describe you in a sentence or two, how often to release while you build a body of work, how to build a world around your music, why social proof is what gets people sharing your songs with the people closest to them, and why ads work best as an amplifier. Once something is already working, it also gets easier to monetize through merchandise, tickets, and paid communities.
It’s the same thinking we bring to artists, creators, and brands at DuPree X: build something worth sharing first, then put paid advertising behind it so it travels further.
Thank you for watching!
